Florida Highway Patrol spotted a 2003 Lexus ES300 being driven erratically along Interstate 275 near milepost 30 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver fled at a high speed across the Howard Frankland and stopped the car at Tampa International Airport, where two adult women got out of the car. Then the driver “intentionally” reversed the car and collided with the front of a trooper patrol car and drove south and struck a Chevy Silverado nearly head-on. On 06/16/2022, Greenville County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to the WoodSpring Suites at 64 Orchard Park in Greenville to take Jerry Willard Yancy into custody on active warrants tied to the June 15, 2022 killings of Ansel Bouchillon, 66, and Alice Bouchillon, 65, who were found shot to death inside their home on Hunter Road in Simpsonville. Deputies said they announced themselves at Yancy’s hotel room door and then heard a gunshot from inside the room. Deputies entered and found Yancy dead from what authorities described as an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. Reporting tied the warrant allegations to a contracting work relationship and a dispute over work performed, and quoted the sheriff saying the death left unanswered questions about motive because Yancy did not provide information.

On 06/10/2022, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at 915 Sidebrook Avenue. Officers located Robert Daugherty, 47, inside the residence. Police reported Daugherty was holding a firearm when officers made contact. Officers opened fire and shot him. Officers pronounced him dead at the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation responded and began an independent review of the shooting in accordance with state protocol for officer-involved shootings.

On 06/10/2022, Springville Police Department officers responded to 660 South 1750 West after reports of a man threatening family members with a firearm. Officers located Jonathan Hambleton, 45, inside the residence. Police stated Hambleton refused commands to drop the weapon and retreated further into the home. Officers secured the perimeter and requested additional resources. During the standoff, a gunshot was heard from inside. Officers later entered and found Hambleton dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. The Utah County Major Crimes Task Force and Utah County Attorney’s Office reviewed the incident.
