The armed man fired shots outside INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital and then entered the building, where additional shots were fired. Police opened fire, killing him. A BOLO was issued, and law enforcement located and pursued the man northbound on Interstate 95 into St. Lucie County. Officers conducted a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, leading to a two-hour armed standoff. Non-lethal impact rounds were used, but when the man rearmed and advanced, officers opened fire and killed him at the scene. Keene Police stopped a vehicle containing a man and a woman for undisclosed reasons. The woman exited, but David Ward stayed inside armed with a gun. Officers secured the area and brought in the New Hampshire State Police SWAT unit. Troopers surrounded Ward’s vehicle in tactical gear, and a shootout broke out during which multiple rounds struck the SWAT armored vehicle. Five troopers fired into the car and fatally struck Ward.

On 08/11/2025 at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Quitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from a woman who had escaped an attack at a residence near Lucy Lane off State Route 39. Sheriff Charles Davis located Maurice Antwan Spann at the scene, and Spann allegedly attacked the sheriff. In response, the sheriff shot and killed Spann. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting the investigation, and a medical examiner’s autopsy is underway. The case will be reviewed by the Pataula County Judicial Circuit.

On 08/11/2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m., a 75-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle on Stillman Boulevard at 29th Avenue. Her car struck the rear of a parked Tuscaloosa Police Department Tahoe while an officer was assisting another motorist. She was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in critical condition and later died. Northport Police is handling the investigation due to the involvement of a Tuscaloosa Police Department vehicle.

On August 11, 2025, West Monroe Police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Prune Street, where two female victims were located, one deceased and one injured. The person identified as 21-year-old Andricko Lamon Lewis Jr. left the scene in a vehicle belonging to one of the victims. Officers from West Monroe Police engaged in a vehicle pursuit that continued into Monroe, with Monroe Police joining the chase. During the pursuit, Lewis sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound while still inside the fleeing vehicle. The vehicle came to a stop, and officers found him unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Mutual aid was requested, bringing in Fargo Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and Red River Valley SWAT, along with Dilworth Police, Minnesota State Patrol, and Sanford Ambulance.
The Red River Valley SWAT team, comprised of heavily armed personnel including members from Fargo PD, assumed control of the scene. Their deployment created a militarized environment with tactical gear, long guns, and armored vehicles staged around the complex. SWAT officers established perimeter control, conducted building sweeps, and prepared for armed entry. A sustained armed confrontation ensued inside the apartment, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between SWAT and the two adult male occupants. Three Fargo Police SWAT officers fired their weapons during the incident. SWAT medics and Sanford Ambulance personnel entered under cover to remove the uninjured children and begin on-scene medical treatment for the wounded men.

San Antonio PD chased a vehicle at high speed through San Antonio, Alamo Heights, and Terrell Hills. The vehicle ultimately crashed into a stone pillar near Fort Sam Houston, erupted in flames, and caused a fiery wreck. The passenger, identified as Seth Nolan Palacios Cruz by the Bexar County Medical Examiner, died at the scene. The driver was pulled from the burning vehicle, found to be intoxicated, and taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The incident remains under investigation.
