Officers discovered Bash, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair, deceased from apparent stab wounds. A gold Honda minivan had crashed into the home's garage door, providing access to the suspect. Approximately an hour later, officers encountered 47-year-old Aaron Matthew Shindle, Bash's former caregiver, near Stonecreek South and West Yale Loop. Shindle was armed with a knife and, despite commands to drop the weapon, advanced toward an officer, prompting the officer to discharge his firearm. Shindle was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. A knife was recovered at the scene.

On August 1, 2024, Chandler Police officers responded to a domestic violence report at an apartment complex near Dobson and Germann Roads. Upon arrival, officers heard loud noises, resembling items breaking, coming from inside the apartment. Shortly thereafter, a woman, identified as 49-year-old Lorie Martha O'Neal, exited the apartment with a firearm. At least one officer opened fire, striking O'Neal. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The East Valley Critical Incident Response Team is conducting an investigation into the shooting.

On 08/01/2024, a man staying at Eagle Suites in Conway was reportedly seen breaking into a vehicle and later emerged holding a firearm. Law enforcement officers responded by initiating a standoff at the hotel. SWAT teams were called in, and the situation escalated over several hours. When officers decided to forcibly enter the room, they found the man unresponsive, having died from a gunshot wound, which appeared to be self-inflicted. Deer Park Police Department was called for a man who had been acting erratically, banging on car windows, kicking them. He was seen holding knives. When police arrived, he was lying in the middle of the intersection. Police fired tasers at him, which seemed to upset him, and he allegedly charged at the police who shot and killed him.
