On 11/22/2025, deputies responded to a call on Blue Springs Road in Carter County. Deputies encountered James Owen Reynolds outside the residence. During the encounter he was reported to have been holding a firearm. The situation escalated and deputies opened fire. Reynolds was struck and died at the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent review.

On 11/22/2025, Todd Donahue, age 51, died after being taken into police custody in Bradenton, Florida. Donahue called 911 stating that he believed he was being chased by the cartel. Officers later received an additional call reporting a person acting erratically. Police located Donahue and determined he met the criteria for involuntary mental health detention under the Florida Baker Act. Officers attempted to take him into custody for transport to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation. Police have not disclosed the amount or type of force used during the detention. While being transported to the hospital in EMS custody, Donahue became unresponsive. He was pronounced dead later at the hospital. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the death.

On 11/22/2025, officers responded to a reported robbery involving a handgun in the Southland Boulevard area. Police approached a man they believed was involved. The man continued moving away from officers and held a firearm, and police opened fire. He died at the scene. Louisville Metro Police stated that body camera footage will be released within ten business days and the names of the officers within seventy-two hours.

On 11/22/2025, police connected Deante Hawthorne to multiple violent incidents earlier in the day in the Moore and Oklahoma City area. Officers attempted to stop him near Interstate 240 and Eastern Avenue. The driver continued driving and crashed. On 11/21/2025 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers in Pine Bluff attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on West 27th Street. The vehicle stopped at the intersection of 27th and Maple where three occupants exited. Jeremy Lawrence Jr fled on foot with a firearm. Officers engaged and fired at Lawrence Jr hitting him in a yard on 28th Avenue. He was transported to the hospital where he died. Two other males from the vehicle were detained. The incident is under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.

On 11/21/2025, deputies went to a home on Governors Way for an eviction requested by the man’s mother. Police reported that once inside the home the man fired a gun and hit several people. One deputy died and another deputy and a locksmith were injured. Deputies opened fire and hit him. He was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries on 11/23/2025.

On 11/21/2025 at approximately 8:48 p.m., a Beresford Police Department officer attempted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Truck Towne Travel Plaza on Highway 46. The driver of the stopped vehicle was identified as Christopher John Pearson of Aurora, South Dakota. During the stop, an officer discharged a firearm and Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation is conducting a full investigation.

On 11/21/2025 at about 12:25 a.m., officers attempted a traffic stop near South Street and Sagamore Parkway for suspected impaired driving. The driver fled. Officers located the vehicle at a nearby apartment complex at approximately 1:16 a.m. The driver parked at the 200 block of Porsche Lane East and refused commands to surrender. Officers reported he told them he had a weapon then moved his hand toward his waistband. An officer shot him and he died at the scene.

On 11/21/2025 police chased a stolen vehicle through Alhambra at very fast speeds. The fleeing driver crashed into a police vehicle at the intersection. Gabriela Moreno was riding as a passenger and was ejected during the collision. She died at the scene.

On 11/20/2025, police in Washington Park attempted a traffic stop for suspected DUI and the driver refused to stop. Police escalated a chase across state lines into Sauget and then into downtown St. Louis at very fast speeds. The vehicle crashed at 6th Street and Washington Avenue and caught fire. Officers pulled out the driver, identified as twenty six year old Shontez Campbell, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died days later from the injuries.

On 11/18/2025, a man died after being shot by deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in Marston, North Carolina. On 11/17/2025 an officer observed a vehicle traveling 62 mph in a 30-mph zone and attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not stop and a pursuit began. The vehicle entered the wrong direction in a roundabout at Fifth Avenue South and University Drive South, crashed into a parked pickup truck and a light pole, and overturned. On 11/17/2025 deputies responded to a residence after the mother of the children fled with her five-year-old child and reported that her husband had threatened to kill her children. The two stepsons aged 14 and 16 were found inside the home having been shot. When deputies confronted Eric Grigsby outside the house he allegedly held two handguns and pointed them at officers. On 11/17/2025 in Pinehurst, Texas, deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare-check involving Shane Moresco who was reported threatening suicide with a firearm at a cemetery in Magnolia. He evaded custody, traveled into neighboring Harris County, then barricaded himself inside a bathroom of a McDonald’s at 32323 Highway 249 in Pinehurst. During attempts to negotiate his surrender, Moresco fired a single shot and died at the scene. On 11/17/2025, two New York State Police troopers were conducting a traffic stop on Route 23 with emergency lights activated. Sharon L. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit occurred. The vehicle rammed a patrol car, then collided with another patrol unit and crashed into the yard of a home. The vehicle caught fire. On 11/17/2025, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department were on patrol near the Deanwood Metro station after reports of gunfire in the area. On 11/16/2025 at approximately 9:30 p.m. law-enforcement officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Benjamin Sink who was wanted on several charges related to a domestic relationship. When the vehicle failed to stop a pursuit ensued. The vehicle was disabled on the side of the road. Sink exited and allegedly opened fire on officers. Officers returned fire and struck him. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
