On 11/16/2025 officers with the Spokane Tribal Police attempted to make contact with a man who had active warrants. He fled on foot, jumped into the Spokane River and did not resurface. His body was located days later and he is presumed drowned.

On 11/17/2025, police located Matthew Tyler Charles who was wanted on a federal warrant. Police escalated their contact after he attempted to run and officers tried to position themselves for tasers and other less lethal methods. During the confrontation police opened fire and killed him.

On 11/16/2025, officers arrested Demetruis Alston on an outstanding warrant for assault at the Anacostia Metro Station. While he was in custody he became unresponsive. He was transported to a hospital where he died. Community advocates have called for answers while the investigation continues.

On 11/15/2025, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance near South Topeka Boulevard and 113th Street in Carbondale. Within minutes of arriving officers were met with gunfire and returned fire. Stephen M. McMillan was shot and killed at the scene. Four officers were shot and injured and a seventy seven year old man at the residence was also injured. Authorities reported no continuing threat to the public.

On 11/15/2025, police responded to reports of shots fired at a residence on James Street. Officers encountered Ryan Alexander Huinker and stated he was armed and not following commands. Police said they fired a taser but he remained moving and produced a firearm. The situation escalated and officers opened fire and killed him. An investigation is underway.

On 11/15/2025, officers responded to reports of an assault near the Applebee’s restaurant at 1235 Magnolia Avenue. Police located an adult man outside the business holding a tire iron. Officers reported that they attempted commands, and during the encounter the situation escalated. Officers opened fire and the man was struck. He was transported to a hospital where he died.

On 11/14/2025 a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper activated emergency lights after the driver cut off another vehicle. The driver continued driving and the chase moved through Knoxville. The vehicle eventually lost control and struck a tree. A passenger was found unresponsive and later died at the hospital. Drugs and an open wine bottle were found in the vehicle.

On 11/14/2025 just before 2 a.m., the Denver Police Department responded to a burglary-in-progress call at the Advenir at French Quarter apartments on S. Parker Road. Officers located a male inside a storage shed holding a large object that appeared to be a knife. They ordered him to drop it and exit. Instead he re-armed and advanced toward the officers and they discharged their weapons, striking and killing him.

On 11/14/2025, officers from the Orlando Police Department served a search warrant at a tattoo shop at 4864 Edgewater Drive near Lee Road targeting multiple suspects believed to have criminal histories. Officers say at approximately 2:05 p.m. a man emerged from the business armed with an AK-47 style rifle and then ran back inside. Officers fired at the man and he barricaded himself inside the business. Just after 3:00 p.m., SWAT entered the building and found the man dead inside. No officers were reported injured.

On 11/14/2025, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man in the roadway brandishing a firearm on Route 534 in Southington. Upon arrival officers approached the man. Shots were fired by officers. He was transported to University Hospital in Portage County where he later died.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were present, but investigators have not released how many officers discharged weapons or how many rounds were fired. The incident originated when a caller reported being concerned for their safety. Lindner had a documented history of past violence including a 2019 case in which his then-wife photographed him pointing a handgun at her. That case was dismissed. Lindner was the son of Carl Lindner III who is widely known for owning the Cincinnati Reds and serving as co-CEO of American Financial Group.

On 11/14/2025, officers responded to a residential alarm at a home on Reservoir Road NW. After repeated commands for Kevin Booker to exit the home officers entered through an unlocked door. While clearing the second floor Booker advanced toward officers while holding a knife and a screwdriver and an officer opened fire and killed him.

On 11/14/2025 at about 3 a.m. officers attempted to stop a man riding a bicycle on the sidewalk for a city ordinance violation. The man fled on foot into the area of Elmendorf Lake and was pursued briefly by officers. He jumped into the lake and disappeared under the surface. Officers heard distress sounds and one entered the water but lost sight of him. His body was recovered later by Texas Game Wardens.

On 11/13/2025 a man fled from a shoplifting incident at an Aldi store in Gates. He ran onto Interstate 390 where he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The agency and involved officers are investigating the circumstances.

On 11/13/2025 just before 7 p.m., officers with the NYPD encountered a 20-year-old man on the Upper East Side after reports that he pointed a firearm at a person in an apartment building elevator and at a deli worker. He then threatened to shoot up a hospital. He fired at officers and a shootout followed. He was shot by officers, transported to hospital, and pronounced dead.

On 11/13/2025, officers from the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office attempted to detain Dennis Hoie in Bagley under a felony warrant. Hoie drove away during the stop and a pursuit followed. Police located him at his home yard in Bagley. During contact with law enforcement the situation escalated and officers fired their weapons, striking Hoie. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. •

On 11/12/2025 shortly before 3:00 a.m., a Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on a 2016 Chevrolet Trax for an equipment violation near US 51 and Velma Road. The driver, Trey Ramey, fled from the scene and fired multiple shots at responding officers. A carjacking followed of a 2015 Toyota Camry. In the pursuit the stolen vehicle crashed and Ramey fled on foot into a wooded area. During the foot‐pursuit a Trooper discharged their service weapon and Ramey was struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital where he later died.

On 11/11/2025, a Conroe Independent School District Police officer driving a patrol car on North Loop 336 East attempted a left turn across traffic and struck Patrick Freeland, who was traveling southbound on a motorcycle. The collision threw him from the motorcycle and he died from his injuries. Officials stated the investigation is pending.

On 11/11/2025, 20-year-old Dalyn Elder of Augusta was pronounced dead at 8:15 a.m. after being hospitalized following a shoot-out with deputies on 10/02/2025. The incident began when deputies responded to a robbery at a gas station on Washington Road, and Elder who was not one of the robbery suspects fled and opened fire on deputies. One deputy sustained gunshot wounds. Elder remained hospitalized until his death.

On 11/11/2025, 48-year-old Jose Reynaldo Lombera was shot and killed by police in Redwood City, California, following a standoff in the 200 block of Hazel Avenue. Officers had responded to reports of gunfire and located Lombera using a drone. Police said he pointed a gun at officers, prompting them to open fire. On 11/11/2025, 62-year-old Paul Maraio shot and killed two of his neighbors in the Tropical East community of Port St. Lucie, Florida. After the shootings, Maraio entered another home and took a 77-year-old woman hostage, holding her for over an hour while barricaded inside. Police responded with SWAT teams, drones, K-9 units, and crisis negotiators. During the standoff, Maraio told negotiators he had shot himself in the chest. Drone footage confirmed his injury, and officers entered the home and transported him to the hospital, where he died early the next morning. On November 10, 2025, at about 3:45 p.m., Kentucky State Police received a call that a man was firing a weapon in a threatening manner at his home. The 37-year-old man, Terry Carney Jr., left in his truck, rammed a deputy’s cruiser while the deputy attempted to stop him, and fled. Officers pursued until his truck ran off the road in the 400 block of Woodlawn Road. He exited the truck, opened fire on the officers, and officers returned fire. He died at the scene.

On 11/10/2025, 52-year-old Anthony Mingo died by suicide two days after he was pursued by Wake County Sheriff’s deputies and North Carolina State Troopers in a high-speed chase through eastern Wake County. Authorities reported that Mingo had been in a mental-health crisis before the pursuit. He was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a vehicle at an unspecified location in Raleigh.

On 11/10/2025, 28-year-old Kevin Fajardo died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound as officers executed a search warrant at a home on the 1200 block of Walnut Street in West Des Moines. Fajardo had been identified as being involved in an October 26 shooting in Des Moines that seriously injured a 16-year-old girl. Officers announced their presence before entering and used a distraction device. After forcing entry, they found Fajardo dead with a firearm equipped with an automatic-fire conversion device nearby. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.

On 11/09/2025, officers from the West Deptford Police Department attempted to stop a white vehicle driven by a man from the United Kingdom after reports of two intoxicated men at a gas station on Hessian Avenue. Police chased Hall through local streets. On 11/08/2025, police escalated a chase of a silver sedan after a reported street-racing incident crashed into a crowded bar on 7th Avenue in Tampa’s Ybor City district. While being chased at high speed, the vehicle lost control at high speed and slammed through the LGBTQ bar’s front wall, killing 4people and injuring 13 others. The driver was taken into custody. The Florida Highway Patrol and Tampa Police Department are investigating.
