Travis Dickson, 42, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a standoff with Dothan Police on November 24, 2024. On June 19, 2024, officers responded to a report of a woman, Lisa Fordyce-Blair, in a mental health crisis, allegedly threatening a neighbor with a rifle. Following the initial call, officers arrived and attempted to deescalate the situation over the next several hours. A SWAT team was deployed after Fordyce-Blair refused to respond to negotiators' attempts to make contact via phone and PA announcements. The police then fired non-lethal rounds at the house to create a path for a drone to provide video surveillance.

After the SWAT team fired "knock knock" rounds to break a window, the negotiator managed to contact Fordyce-Blair for a brief phone conversation. During this time, she reportedly fired two or three rounds at officers. After the police breached the house, they found Fordyce-Blair deceased from gunshot wounds.

An investigation by the Office of Special Prosecutions later found that Sergeant Jonathan Butler, the officer involved, was legally justified in the shooting. This incident marked the fourth police-related fatality in Anchorage within the span of a month. The incident has since been ruled an officer-involved shooting, and no charges were filed against the officers involved​.

Police spotted a stolen vehicle and escalated a chase, placed spike strips that caused a man and woman to flee from the vehicle and continue in a truck. Police chased them to 98th and I-40 where the man held the woman hostage. After a one-hour standoff, a police sniper killed him. It turned out that the gun was only a BB gun and Meador had been unarmed.

COn 06/20/2024, Christopher Pringle, 33, was reported missing while visiting Port St. Lucie, Florida, from Texas. St. Lucie Police located Pringle driving on a highway and deployed stop sticks to disable his vehicle. Pringle evaded the initial attempt to stop him, prompting an escalated response involving dozens of officers, a helicopter, and drones. Using cell phone tracking technology, police pinpointed his location at a shopping mall parking lot.

A SWAT team was deployed to the scene, locking down the mall and surrounding Pringle’s van. Officers brought a Lenco BearCat armored vehicle and established a perimeter while attempting a surround-and-callout strategy. Police shattered the windows of Pringle’s van using breaching tools and threw flashbang grenades inside to disorient him. Chemical agents were also deployed into the vehicle, with witnesses reporting hearing Pringle coughing during the prolonged standoff.

Despite the intense tactical response, Pringle was later found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the van. Police disclosed that Pringle possessed only a homemade .22 firearm and had not threatened or harmed anyone during the incident. St. Lucie Police confirmed that Pringle was not being sought in connection with any crime, emphasizing that the operation originated as a welfare check stemming from his missing person report.

Pringle’s family described him as a positive individual who had been battling depression and questioned the need for the aggressive tactics employed by police. On 06/20/2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a Shreveport Police Department officer struck 60-year-old Charles Page with a patrol vehicle at the intersection of Line Avenue and East 70th Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. Page was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:02 a.m.

On June 19, 2024, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers from the Pueblo Police Department responded to a report of a man with a weapon in the parking lot of a Popeyes restaurant near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Outlook Boulevard in Pueblo, Colorado. Upon arrival, they located 34-year-old Ronald Ray Valdez in a vehicle. Officers instructed Valdez to show his hands; however, he allegedly refused to comply and began firing a handgun at the officers. In response, several officers returned fire, fatally wounding Valdez at the scene. No officers were injured during the incident.

Following standard procedure, the officers involved were placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, which is being reviewed by the 10th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team. Chief Chris Noeller of the Pueblo Police Department stated that the investigation is expected to take approximately 9 to 10 months.

In an effort to provide transparency, the Pueblo Police Department released body and dash camera footage of the incident. The footage shows officers issuing commands to Valdez, who is then seen firing a handgun at the officers before they return fire. On June 18, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., John Zook, 40, contacted 911, reporting that he was experiencing a mental health crisis and had ceased taking his medication. Officers from the Wayne Police Department responded to his residence at Newberry Square Apartments on Michigan Avenue near S. Wayne Road. Upon arrival, officers found Zook bleeding from self-inflicted wounds and armed with a kitchen knife. Despite multiple verbal commands and two attempts to subdue him with a Taser, Zook advanced toward the officers. In response, an officer discharged their firearm, resulting in Zook's death at the scene. Zook's 4-year-old child was present in the apartment during the incident but was unharmed.

On June 18, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Bulloch County Dispatch received multiple reports of a black Chevrolet Camaro involved in a hit-and-run, reckless driving, and discharging a firearm. Deputies swiftly located the vehicle at the Gas Pro Travel Center at Highway 301 and A.J. Riggs Road. Before their arrival, the driver, identified as 25-year-old Robert Allen Bostic of Warner Robins, Georgia, had reportedly pointed a gun at a patron at a nearby pump. The patron retreated to his vehicle, and as he fled, Bostic fired, striking the back of the patron’s vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies positioned their vehicles at the front and rear of the Camaro. Bostic exited the driver's side. Police allege that Bostic drew a handgun and fired at one of the deputies. Both deputies opened fire, hitting Bostic multiple times. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. Upon completion, the findings will be submitted to the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review. The identities of the involved deputies have not been disclosed, and no information regarding administrative actions has been released.

Wadsworth PD were sent to a welfare check on a suicidal man on Durling Drive in Wadsworth and located him. Police roused and locked down the entire neighborhood and eyewitnesses reported hearing shots. Police did not answer so far who fired shots first and only confirmed that the man in mental health crisis was dead. Multiple officers were placed on administrative leave.
