Officers from the Fort Dodge Police Department responded to a distress call at 1525 Fourth Avenue South, where Stansberry was reported to be exhibiting out-of-control behavior and had allegedly injured a dog. Upon arrival, officers learned of an active arrest warrant for Stansberry for probation violation related to a prior domestic abuse conviction.
