On July 27, 2024, Baltimore Police Department officers responded to reports of an individual discharging a firearm from an apartment window in the 300 block of Homeland Southway. Upon arrival, officers established a perimeter and evacuated nearby residents for safety. The situation escalated into a barricade, prompting the deployment of the SWAT team. After gaining entry to the residence, SWAT officers discovered a deceased male with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. No other individuals were injured during the incident.
