On 07/22/2024, 18-year-old Yemaya Kandyanasa Wilson was killed in a high-speed crash on Black Dog Alley in Easton, Maryland, following a police pursuit initiated by the Easton Police Department and supported by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office. Officer Brittanie DiMichele reportedly attempted to stop Wilson’s vehicle for a suspected traffic violation. When Wilson did not stop, officers escalated the situation into a high-speed pursuit.

The chase continued along Black Dog Alley, with speeds reportedly exceeding safe limits. Wilson’s vehicle lost control and crashed. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but Wilson was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision. No other vehicles or individuals were reported involved.
