Sherman Lee Butler, 45, was shot and killed July 12 by a bailiff, who is an independent contractor with Detroit's 36th District Court, when Butler failed to vacate his Palmer Park apartment said the attorney for the Manderson Road apartment complex. The bailiff had gone to the residence on Manderson Road for an eviction. Police claim that Sherman Lee Butler was found in his bed holding a weapon. He was tased and charged by police and was finally shot and killed by a bailiff.
