Jacob Dewberry, 20, died in a high-speed pursuit initiated by Dale County deputies for undisclosed reasons on the evening of August 11, 2024. The chase, reaching speeds of over 100 mph, lasted several miles before Dewberry's vehicle crashed into a tree. He was taken to a hospital but died from the injuries.
