On 09/09/2024, Idaho State Police officers pursued a male driver on I-84 near Mountain Home following reports of reckless driving. Troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over, leading to a high-speed chase. Officers deployed spike strips near milepost 98, successfully stopping the vehicle. After the vehicle came to a halt, police approached and issued commands for the driver to exit the car.
