OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Florida Highway Patrol spotted a 2003 Lexus ES300 being driven erratically along Interstate 275 near milepost 30 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver fled at a high speed across the Howard Frankland and stopped the car at Tampa International Airport, where two adult women got out of the car. Then the driver “intentionally” reversed the car and collided with the front of a trooper patrol car and drove south and struck a Chevy Silverado nearly head-on. The truck driver sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Lexus later died at a hospital.
