Salinas PD responded to a stabbing call. Police arrived and numerous officers shot and killed Curtis Dale Barnett. This response may have been the result of police bias due to past encounters with Barnett. This was Officer Jordy Urrutia’s second killing, having killed Sergio Contreras Villanueva in the past.
