Cedric Hayden had just gotten off work according to his family when police reportedly chased another vehicle at high speed. The speeding officer crashed into Hayden’s vehicle, killing Cedric Hayden, 35, and his friend Dujuan Pettis, 34. Police deny that they chased anyone and offered no explanation for the crash. Several days after the crash, police admitted that police were on their way to an area where a stolen car may have been spotted and had announced the intended chase to dispatch just prior to impact.
