The Gilbert Police Department responded to a Starbucks near Santan Village Parkway after reports of gunshots. Witnesses stated that a man pointed a gun at a patron before locking himself in the bathroom. Police evacuated the building and contained the scene. After forcing entry into the bathroom, SWAT officers found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident remains under investigation, led by the Gilbert Police Department.
