An unnamed 38-year-old man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound following an hours-long police standoff in the Kapilina Beach Homes community in Ewa Beach. Police had been sent to the home on Bittern Avenue for a man who was reportedly armed with a firearm. He committed suicide after police arrived.
