On November 8, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Southaven Police Department officers responded to a disturbance involving reports of gunfire at the North Creek Apartments in Southaven, Mississippi. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle associated with the incident. As officers approached, the driver struck a police squad car and fled westbound on Stateline Road.

Officers pursued the fleeing driver, who drove erratically during the chase. The fleeing vehicle struck another police car, veered off the roadway, and crashed into a wooded area. The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the individual has not been disclosed.
