OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/28/2024, around 2:30 a.m., San Jose Police officers identified a stolen 2015 Honda Accord and attempted to initiate a traffic stop near Story Road and King Road. The driver of the Honda fled, prompting a police pursuit. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into a light pole at the intersection of Tully Road and South King Road.

As a result of the police pursuit, the fleeing vehicle crashed, causing the death of a juvenile rear passenger. The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two additional passengers, also juveniles, sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital. The incident remains under investigation by the San Jose Police Department and other relevant agencies.
