OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 11/30/2024, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Howard County Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 10000 block of American Pharoah Lane in Laurel, Maryland. Body camera footage showed officers encountering a woman on an outside upper ledge of the house and an adult male inside the residence armed with a long gun. The mandid not drop his weapon. Two officers discharged their firearms and shot and killed him. Multiple shell casings from an unknown weapon and several firearms were discovered inside the home. The Maryland Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division is conducting a standard investigation into the incident.
