Kenneth Barber Jr. was allegedly involved in a fight. Bystanders had already subdued him when police arrived. As police tried to arrest him, he ran to a car and Fair Haven PD opened fire, killing him, for trying to escape. The shooting has been ruled Justified by the State’s Attorney. The AG also cleared the officers in 12/2023.
