On 12/04/2024, Reno Police Department (RPD) officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence in the 500 block of Colorado River Boulevard in Reno, Nevada. Upon arrival, officers encountered a man standing in the doorway, allegedly with his right hand concealed behind his back. The man was agitated and repeatedly demanded that officers leave his property.Police allege that the man suddenly charged an officer and reached for his gun. The officer opened fire, striking the man twice. The man was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
