On 12/05/2024, Vancouver Police Department (VPD) officers responded to a disturbance near East Mill Plain Boulevard and Devine Road in Vancouver, Washington. Officers encountered a man who, according to police, physically attacked one of the officers during the interaction. The altercation escalated. An officer fired their weapon, fatally striking the man. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
