OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On December 11, 2024, the Boston Police Department responded to a call about a man who had locked himself inside the Continuum apartment building in the Allston neighborhood. Officers evacuated residents as a precaution and initiated negotiations with the individual. After nearly 12 hours of attempted negotiation, the individual was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The identity of the deceased has not been released.The Boston Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
