On 12/15/2024, Black Hawk County deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of Grant Avenue in Waterloo. Upon arrival, deputies took a male individual into custody. Shortly after, the individual experienced a medical emergency. Deputies administered life-saving measures until emergency medical services arrived. The individual was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation into the incident.
