On 12/12/2024, at approximately 12:26 AM, Fernando Jimenez-Jimenez, 31, was involved in a fatal wrong-way collision on Interstate 15 near Mile Marker 78, close to Valley of Fire State Park in Clark County, Nevada. Jimenez-Jimenez was driving southbound in the northbound lanes when his vehicle collided head-on with a northbound vehicle driven by off-duty Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Colton Pulsipher, 29. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in one of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The Nevada State Police are investigating the incident.
