An armed robbery occurred at a hotel. Police chased several individuals, arresting one, while another fled in a vehicle. Wichita PD escalated a high-speed chase. At the intersection of Central and Ridge, the fleeing vehicle ran a red light and crashed into the car driven by Samantha Russell. Russell, who was eight months pregnant, was killed in the crash. Her son was delivered posthumously and survived.
