On December 23, 2024, Arkansas State Police attempted to stop a vehicle in Johnson County, Arkansas. The driver did not stop, and officers escalated a high-speed chase that ended when troopers performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver, causing the vehicle to crash. The driver exited the vehicle and allegedly had a gun. Troopers opened fire and killed him.
