OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On September 11, 2021, deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, along with state police, responded to a domestic violence call along Spring Canyon Road near Ruidoso. Upon arrival, the suspect fired shots at the officers. After hours of negotiations, deputies heard gunfire from within the residence. Upon entering, they discovered the suspect deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
