On August 15, 2021, at approximately 5 p.m., Albuquerque Police officers shot and killed an unidentified man near 9100 Menaul Blvd NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Officers were investigating a stolen vehicle that was taken to a Walmart parking lot. Two individuals, a man and a woman, exited the vehicle and were pursued on foot by police. At the intersection of Menaul and Northeastern, the man allegedly turned and pulled out a gun. Police then opened fire, killing him.
