On July 24, 2021, 25-year-old Ryan James Kiess was killed in a fatal crash on Montauk Highway in Quogue, New York. Police had chased Justin Mendez at high speed for not having headlights on until he crashed into a bystander vehicle, killing a total of 5 people.
