On January 7, 2025, Round Rock Police Department officers conducted a check on a person near the intersection of Interstate 35 and Westinghouse Road in Round Rock, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who reportedly had a gun. An officer opened fire, killing him. The man was pronounced dead at the intersection. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation.
