Kenneth Harrington, a 64-year-old male, was found unresponsive in his cell at Yakima County Jail on December 7, 2024. Medical personnel responded, and he was pronounced dead on the scene. An autopsy determined that Harrington died of natural causes due to acute cardiac tamponade. No officers were involved in any altercation with Harrington before his death. He had been arrested for a misdemeanor and had been in jail for four days when he died from an untreated cardiac tamponade.
