On December 31, 2024, Richard L. Johnson, a 32-year-old male, was found unresponsive in the intake housing unit of the Dane County Jail in Madison, Wisconsin. Johnson was pronounced dead in jail. The Dane County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, is investigating the cause of death.
