OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On January 19, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to reports of a man brandishing a firearm inside a North Hills restaurant located on the 400 block of Main Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. The 32-year-old man allegedly threatened patrons and staff before retreating to a rear section of the restaurant. Following the shooting, and upon police arrival, Colom Jr. shot himself. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and died from his injuries on January 19, 2025. The Raleigh Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
