On January 19, 2025, Glynn County Police Department officers initiated a high-speed chase on U.S. Highway 341 in Brunswick, Georgia, after a driver failed to comply with a traffic stop for undisclosed reasons. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries to bystanders or law enforcement were reported.
