On 09/02/2021, officers from the Sandy Township Police Department, DuBois City Police Department, and Pennsylvania State Police responded to Wilson Avenue and Murtland Avenue in DuBois, Pennsylvania, after receiving information about the location of John Clarence Vos Jr. Vos was implicated in one of six related federal indictments concerning a California-to-Western Pennsylvania meth trafficking operation. Following a several-hour standoff, Vos was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident is under investigation by local authorities.
