On January 12, 2024, Joshua Keith Zimmerman, a 33-year-old male, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Anchorage Correctional Complex in Anchorage, Alaska. He had been detained at the facility since December 12, 2023. Zimmerman was pronounced dead in the cell. The Alaska State Troopers are investigating the death, and the State Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.
