On June 23, 2022, 30-year-old Marissa Fresquez was found unresponsive in her cell at the Pueblo County Jail in Pueblo, Colorado. She had been incarcerated since June 20, 2022, on a failure to appear in court warrant. Fresquez had a reported history of drug abuse and withdrawal symptoms. An autopsy report indicated that methamphetamine was in her system at the time of death. The manner of death was ruled as an accident.
