On February 1, 2025, Columbia Police Department officers were assisting the Moberly Police Department with a homicide investigation at an apartment in the 1500 block of Raleigh Drive in Columbia, Missouri. During the operation, officers encountered Timothy Turner who reportedly held a firearm. Police shot and killed him.
