On 02/12/2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Harnett County Sheriff's Deputy Calvin Johnson responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence on Neills Creek Road near Fairfield Lane in Lillington, North Carolina. Upon arrival, Deputy Johnson encountered 31-year-old Leo Warren Reeves, who reportedly challenged the deputy with a knife. After efforts to deescalate the situation, Deputy Johnson fired his weapon, striking Reeves. Deputies administered medical aid until EMS arrived. Reeves was transported to Wake Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
