On February 15, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to an incident near Fillmore Street and Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Upon arrival, they encountered an armed male individual. During the confrontation, at least one officer opened fire, fatally wounding the individual. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation into the incident.
