On 02/13/2025, Sumner Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 1500 block of Daffodil Street Court East in Sumner, Washington. Upon arrival, officers safely escorted a woman from the residence before a man barricaded himself inside, armed with a firearm. SWAT was called to assist, and while attempting to communicate, officers heard a gunshot from within the home. After obtaining a warrant and entering, officers found the man deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
