OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On February 19, 2025, at approximately 2:05 p.m., Miami Township Police officers responded to a disturbance in the 9200 block of Sawgrass Drive, near PipeStone Golf Club. During the incident, at least one officer was involved in a shooting, resulting in the death of the suspect. One officer sustained non-serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been requested to investigate the shooting.
