On 02/20/2025, at approximately 5:27 PM, officers from the Madras Police Department, Oregon State Police, and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple reports of a fight in progress on Highway 97 in the southern part of Madras, Oregon. Upon arrival, law enforcement encountered 26-year-old Allan Dale Warner Jr. Initial reports indicate that Warner was involved in a confrontation with officers, during which he was fatally shot. Eyewitness video suggests that Warner may have picked up an object resembling a non-lethal shotgun dropped by an officer during the encounter. However, it remains unclear whether Warner was armed at the time he was shot.
