On 02/21/2025, Piqua Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence report at a residence in the 200 block of McKinley Avenue in Piqua, Ohio. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 44-year-old white male inside the home. During the interaction, an officer shot and killed the man. The officer who fired the shots was not injured. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Miami County Coroner have been requested to investigate the incident.
