Asheville Police responded to reports of a barricaded man at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on Hendersonville Road. The man, Ronald Ralph Holmes Jr., was wanted on felony domestic violence charges from Ohio. After a seven-hour standoff, officers entered the room and found Holmes dead from a gunshot wound. The Asheville Police Department is investigating.
