Charleston County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a vehicle near Fort Johnson Road and Silver Leaf Circle on James Island. The driver did not stop, and deputies escalated a chase. The vehicle crashed, killing 31-year-old passenger Joshua Richardson. Two other individuals in the vehicle sustained injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
