On March 2, 2025, at approximately 1:14 p.m., Hiram police officers responded to reports of an aggravated assault at the Columns Apartments on Bill Carruth Parkway in Hiram, Georgia. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman actively stabbing a man with a knife. Officers fired a taser, wear upon she moved toward police. Officers open fire and killed her. The man died from injuries at the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
