OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On February 26, 2025, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Maplewood police officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on the 2200 block of McMenemy Street North. Police spoke with a woman on the main level of the home. While gathering information, officers heard what sounded like two gunshots coming from the basement. Officers evacuated the woman and attempted to contact the man in the basement but received no response. The Ramsey County SWAT team was activated. After nearly two hours, officers entered and found the man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
